About Carly Couture
Carly Couture was started in October of 2005. After graduating from the fashion and textile program at the University of Northern Iowa, I decided work very hands on by starting my own line. Everything available on this site is designed, patterned, and sewn by me.

My mom taught me to sew when I was 8 years old. She taught me enough to get started and I took off on my own using books and any resource I could get my hands on to learn how to sew different things. To this day I am constantly learning new techniques to improve my sewing skills and it shows!

My design inspiration comes from many different places but my end goal is to create clothing that is cute, colorful, and a touch sexy. I never stopped loving polka dots, hearts, lace, bows, and bright colors and I don't think I (or anyone else) should stop wearing fun clothing just because the world thinks I have 'grown up.'

In the last few years, my work has ended up in runway shows around the midwest, as well as consignment shops all over the country. I am always looking for a new adventure or opportunity and I can easily be reached by email.
